Dear Residents,
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Awareness Program on Water Hardness and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) held on 24th September 2024 at the Anugraha Facility Office and Water Treatment Plant. This session was organized to address concerns raised by residents about variations in water hardness and TDS levels in our flats.
The session was led by Mr. Jawid Khan from M/s JK Enterprises and was well-attended by representatives from Sattva, AAOA members, and residents.

Key Points Discussed:
- Mr. Jawid Khan explained various components included in the water and Hardness refers to the amount of calcium, magnesium.
- TDS ,refers to the total of other mineral elements including calcium and magnesium.
- Explained process of Water softening through WTP were the ions of calcium, magnesium and iron are removed.
- Explained reduction in calcium & magnesium post treatment and increase in Sodium levels in water.
- Explained Hardness and TDS elements are different components and Water Treatment plant reduces the amount of hard minerals in water but do NOT reduce total dissolved solids (TDS).
- Explained how TDS will increase post treatment of water compared to untreated Raw water.
- Walkthrough done in WTP and explained the process of filtration and the operation of various filters like sand, corbon, softer and chlorinator.
